In January 2006 we have obtained the audit confirmation of company adequacy according to the requirements of ISO/TS 16949. By that we have confirmed our strategic policy for quality of products as one of the principles of our company, and in addition to it new possibilities are opening up for the expansion of sales in demanding automotive industry markets.

Slovenian automotive industry is traditionally export oriented and operates according to EU and globally recognized automotive standards such as QS 9000, VDA 6.1, EAQF and ISO/TS 16949. Main structure of ISO/TS 16949 leans to the quality system management of ISO 9001, upgraded by special automotive industry requirements.

For several years in Siliko the percentage of sale to automotive industry exceeds 50% of total income. In accordance with strategic policy of our company to actively penetrate the demanding global automotive industry market as a credible partner, the acquirement of ISO/TS 16949 was set as one of main strategic goals of our company.

Certification audit was carried out at the end of November 2005 by the representatives of certification authority TÜV Bayern Sava d.o.o. for TÜV Süd Germany. The certification procedure will be completed by the official issue of the certificate in March 2006.

In accordance with the ISO/TS 16949 standard specifications all business and production functions of the company are certified by the ISO/TS 16949 requirements, with the exception of the tool room that can not be certified by ISO/TS 16949 and is therefore certified by ISO 9001.

Certification of Siliko in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 confirms our strategic policy for quality of products as one of the principles of our company. In addition to it new possibilities are opening up for the expansion of sales in demanding automotive industry with new partners and also further keeping of present existing projects.
