The origins of Siliko go back to 1984, when the present CEO Janez Koprivec assembled the first rubber injection molding machine on his own and took up his trade alongside with his day job. The company continued and grew through hard work and investments in new production capabilities and technological improvements, and after switched to a economy market in 1993, it was transformed from a family trade into a limited liability company.
The year 1993 saw the company’s biggest leap and fastest growth, with the building of new production premises and intensive investments in modern automated injection molding machines and in machining equipment of the tool room.
Through intensive investments in modern automated injection molding machines and machining equipment of the toolroom, the company experienced a fascinating rate of growth. High-quality products and especially a comprehensive range of services from draft design to final mass production ensured the satisfaction of demanding customers, including those from the German automotive industry, and today Germany is still Siliko’s main export market.

Due to a growing demand, production capacities had to be expanded. As any further expansion at Siliko’s primary location in Brezje pri Dobovi was not possible, in 2003, the company decided to invest in new business premises at a new location, and purchased the premises of the Jutranjka company in Sevnica. Thus, nowadays the Sevnica branch of Siliko is used for intensive mass production.
As the company’s projects became ever more challenging, the parent company also moved to new premises in Vrhnika in 2013, where the company’s Development Center and Headquarters are now located. Today, the company is a medium-sized enterprise with over 250 employees and is one of the most important development suppliers and manufacturers of injection molded technical products in Central Europe.
