Year 2013 represents a turning point for Siliko d.o.o. as the company celebrates its 20th birthday as well as moving of headquarters to brand new premises in Vrhnika.
The grand opening of new headquarters was held on the 28th of June 2013 and was attended by the Minster of Economic Development and Technology, Stanko Stepišnik, and the mayor of Vrhnika, Stojan Jakin. Other attendees were Siliko employees, representatives of business partners and local communities.
Director Janko Koprivec pointed out the importance of development for a successful and competitive business. Furthermore he thanked the employees, business partners and everyone responsible for building and establishing new premises in Vrhnika.
Minister Stepišnik stressed how important are companies such as Siliko, that continue to invest in development and new job positions even in these difficult times and thus remain in the competition on the foreign markets. Vrhnika’s mayor Jakin expressed his hopes that Siliko is only the first of many companies that will help revive Vrhnika’s economy.
The development centre will be finished by mid-2013 and the acquisition of the technological equipment will be carried out throughout the rest of 2013 and part of 2014.
The renovations’ project of the management building is co-financed by PETROL – Energy for life. The new technological equipment is co-financed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and the European Union.
